Teach Me To Pray
True Stories of Incredible Answers to Prayer
The Riess children live on a farm, with several pets and a big yard to explore. As they read the Bible, and other books about the God of miracles, they begin to pray about everything.
God provides a horse from heaven. A miracle skating rink appears once in the last 45+ years, only after Ryan prays. Janelle desperately wants to take skating lessons, even though it seems impossible. A limp, lifeless kitten who appears to have drowned, is awakened as a child prays.
Does the glorious, powerful, triune God of all creation care about our day-to-day lives? As you read these stories, you will see a miracle-working God who answers prayers; and you will know that he cares about you!
I can’t wait to read this book to my grandkids. They will love the stories about things kids really care about: pets and ponies, ice skating, making friends at school, and working hard to earn money to buy a computer. The illustrations are great, too, including a map of the farm yard. This book tells simple, true stories of a farm family where the parents encourage their children to talk to God about their wants and needs. Sometimes God’s answer is “no”, sometimes it’s “wait”, and sometimes it’s an amazing miracle.
